Kyd Brenner joined DTB Associates with twenty-six years of experience in
U.S. and international government policy and regulation, public relations, research and technical services. Prior to
joining DTB, Mr. Brenner served as vice president of the Corn Refiners Association, Inc., a trade association representing
an important segment of U.S. agribusiness.
Mr. Brenner participated in development of U.S. legislation and federal
regulation that facilitated development of major food and feed markets, including the market for the country's largest volume
food additive. He has extensive experience in U.S.-E.U. agricultural trade relations and serves on the Agricultural
Technical Advisory Committee for Trade in Grain, Feeds and Oilseeds on behalf of the Secretary of Agriculture and U.S.
Trade Representative.
Mr. Brenner has served on the U.S. delegation to numerous meetings of the
FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius Commission and many of its committees. His areas of expertise include international food
and feed safety and standards, trade in products of modern biotechnology and the interface between science and trade policy.
In 1998 Mr. Brenner convened the Agricultural Biotechnology Forum to bring together interests across the food chain to share
perspectives and policies on the introduction of biotechnology to the food system and is chair of the International Trade
subcommittee of the Agricultural Biotechnology Planning Committee.
